Influenza A (H1N1) virus is a subtype of influenza virus A and the most ordinary cause of flu in humans. For your information, H1N1 strains caused approximately half of all human flu infections in 2006 and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared that flu due to a new strain of swine-origin H1N1 was responsible for the 2009 flu pandemic.
Prevention of Influenza A(H1N1) virus:
• Wash your hand thoroughly and as frequent as possible
• Avoid being in contact with someone who may have the flu or been exposed to the flu
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose & mouth
• Try to avoid stress which can lower down your immune system
• Eat as healthy as possible - increase intake of fresh fruits & vegetables
• Drink plenty of water
• Get plenty of rest
• Avoid large crowds
• Boosting up your immune system is the most critical and important now!
